Reiki

Started in Japan about 100 years ago, Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is taught and used today around the world. This healing technique can assist in deep relaxation and relieve pain, restore a healthy flow of energy, and bring about emotional release and healing to people and animals.

Reiki has been used in hospitals to help patients deal with pain and it is used in respected alternative medical research clinics. The Center for Integrative Medicine, connected to the University of Maryland Medical Center uses Reiki to assist in healing with pain and illness without creating dependency on pharmaceuticals.

Why I use Reiki

I have used Reiki with my animal clients for over 5 years and I have always found it to be healing and restorative. It can be helpful for any pet with issues of health, physical pain, or any emotional or physical stress or trauma. Animals are very receptive to Reiki when they need it and become very relaxed.  Afterwards they are calmer and more settled.

Reiki sessions are $45 per hour.  Most animals only require 15-20 minutes at a time and the Reiki rate can be worked into the regular visit rate.   Feel free to contact me with any questions.

“My cat was very unused to human contact before she came to Rachel. She been mostly living outside, and was a nervous wreck, actually, skittish and slinking away when you tried to come close to her. She was a lot calmer after her time with Rachel. She was less freaked out all the time, and seemed to have settled down in some deep way.”  ~ Anne-Katherine, Los Angeles
